Boycott the Man City game.
Surely the simplest & most visible way as to just boycott a match. The Man City game is coming up on Sky TV with no one in there it would embarrass the owners & affect them in the pocket, no match day revenue. We will also not being harming the team as let's face it we aren't getting anything from that game anyway...
There's no money, membership fees, balloons & very little organisation required, no one can stop it, no individuals can be threatened or bribed to prevent it...
A march or 'static' demo will easily go unreported in the media...
This would be impossible to ignore, Blackpool & Arsenal have been attracting attention with this sort of action.
It also has the benefit of sticking two fingers up at sky & their modern football money that shoves our fixtures all over the shop as well as embarrassing our bullshitting owners.
Let's get the ball rolling on it..

It's a good game to pick for a boycott, for sure.

no match day revenue well apart from the 52k season tkt money plus the sold out corporate

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
The revenue doesn’t matter does it though.
It’s making a visible & peaceful protest, without harming the team.

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
We need to embarrass those two dildo pricks as much as possible and this sounds a good way.
We might be punished with one or two closed door games of course.

Boycott the club store immediately is also good.

Get on board BTCG👍. Boycott the city game. If you wish to show your dissatisfaction with the current investment in the club both on and off the field and you believe you have been misled by the current owners than at the Man City game just don't go in. Send them a message that they and the whole of the country can see by showing what it would like to sit in a empty stadium every week and that they need to invest in our first team, our youth teams, our scouting operation and the stadium. The message is clear we are West Ham but enough is enough.
BTCG. Boycott The City Game. 👍

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
I totally agree 100% but theres too many folk that in their hearts believe they might miss out on something. I mean fans have been putting up with this for years. Their addicted and it would be too cold turkey for them plus what about those who havent missed a home game for years and wont want to break their duck.

Its one game and would be so interesting listening to the media sourses throughout the match and after.

Cant see it happening and the attendance would still read 56 910

Shim, its more than investing in the first team.
Saturday lit the blue touch paper. It's all or nothing now, we want them out.

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
I think it's a great idea

As has been said though, the loss of revenue would be relatively minimal as most, if not all, the seats have already been paid for by ST holders plus there will be the revenue from Sky

But the embarassment to the board of Sky's cameras scanning round the empty stands would be a sight to behold!

I also like the irony of them having to cough up for extra police / security when there's nobody there!

It's highly unlikely that we'd pick up any points against Man City anyway, but given the toxic atmosphere at the Burnley game, the players might even perform better (wishful thinking)

It might even rattle the City players, playing in front of an empty stadium, rather than their normal 60K+ fans!

Good idea we are going to get smashed. I don't think I'll watch on TV too painful

The stadium always looks half empty anyway on TV.

What happened Saturday just gone was much more effective.

Not for me.

Verbal abuse from hundreds of our fans right in front of the cheapskate wankers gets a double thumbs-up from me though.

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
The only matchday revenue that will be missing is that which goes to the stadium operators, not the club.

I'd like to see people heed Bill's words and march. march at every game going forward until we get rid of those club murdering cunts.

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
I am not being rude being a West ham fan, but if West ham fans have a brain this is the simplest way and least painful way to protest and it will be noticed by the media too as it will be a game that involves the Premier League Champions.

Unless you are kinky about seeing world class players toying against your team and beating them by at least three goals this is the game to miss.

Re: Boycott the Man City game.
just a message from a fellow football supporter.
A few years ago we had our club sold to 2 american business men, gillete and hicks. we were promised a new ground and money to make a team that would deliver and compete for trophies. as your well aware this never happened . we were lied to time and time again and then to cap it all they took loans out on behalf of the club that we the fans were going to repay. in other words we were buying the club for 2 wankers who never even paid a penny for club!!!!
We fought back.
It started with a few fans who organised demonstrations before and after games and a walkout an 1 of the games.
This worked as it galvanized the fan base to work as 1.
The way we got them out of our club was not the d3monstrations but to hit them in their pockets.
No body bought ANY club merchandise or beer or food inside the ground . The main response from us was to terrorise them
on the internet. hicks once called us INTERNET TERRORISTS.
We bombarded any company that was willing to finance or invest in lfc. 2 major banks refused to deal with them as we crashed there websites time and time again. can you imagine the cost to a global company?
Don't want to go on but we have been in your position and proved you that can get rid of the sharks in football.
best wishes and hope you can sort out the mess brought on by greedy bastards with no love for a club only money.

Don’t go to the games, don’t renew your season ticket, don’t buy any merchandise. Simple!

it's a good idea but only happening as we will get stuffed if it was spurs at home no one would stay a2ay as a protest

Mike Oxsaw 11:20 Tue Mar 13
Re: Boycott the Man City game.
Good idea, only the stadium will be far from empty- they'll just give out a load of freebies to local charities and fill the vacant seats with the capital's homeless & destitute.

I like the "black bag over the white seats" idea raised elsewhere - how about coupling that with a "Mexican walk-out" - by that I mean at a predetermined time people stand up, put a black bin-liner over their seats then walk up to the concourse, mill around for a minute or so, then go back to their seats.

That way people only miss a small part of the game and can be there to support the team, but a media-catching, stadium-wide event is taking place while the game is going on.

Not my fault if I get the urge to go for a piss at the same time as a thousand other fans...
